2. SURFACE PREPARATION
• REMOVE ALL OLD PAINT, VARNISH, GREASE, WAX OR DIRT
• REPAIR KNOTS, CRACKS, DENTS OR IMPERFECTIONS WITH SUITABLE WOOD FILLER
• SAND PROGRESSIVELY FROM COARSE TO FINE GRITS FOR A SMOOTH KEY
• DUST AND CLEAN COMPLETELY WITH TACK CLOTHS AND SOLVENT
3.PRIMING
• MIX AND APPLY CORRECT SELEMIX 2K PRIMER / BASE COAT
• ALLOW FULL CURE TIME, THEN LIGHT SAND AND REMOVE DUST AGAIN
• ENSURES EVEN ABSORPTION, SEALS TIMBER AND MAXIMISES ADHESION
4. MIXING SELEMIX 2K
SELECT CORRECT TOPCOAT: CLEAR, PIGMENTED, SATIN / GLOSS / MATTE FINISH
• ACCURATELY MIX COATING : HARDENER : THINNER EXACTLY TO MANUFACTURER RATIOS
• STIR THOROUGHLY; USE WITHIN SPECIFIED POT LIFE (USUALLY 1–2 HOURS)
• FILTER MIXED MATERIAL BEFORE POURING INTO SPRAY GUN
5. SPRAYING APPLICATION
• USE HIGH-PERFORMANCE HVLP OR PRESSURE-FEED SPRAY EQUIPMENT
• APPLY THIN, UNIFORM OVERLAPPING COATS FOLLOWING WOOD GRAIN
• MAINTAIN STEADY DISTANCE AND CONSISTENT GUN SPEED
• ALLOW EXACT FLASH-OFF TIME BETWEEN COATS (TYPICALLY 10–20 MINS)
• USUALLY APPLY 2–3 TOPCOATS FOR FULL DEPTH AND PROTECTION
6. CURING
• ALLOW DUST-DRY CURE: ~1–3 HOURS AT 20°C
• FULL HARD CURE: APPROX 16–24 HOURS FOR LIGHT HANDLING
• MAXIMUM CHEMICAL / SCRATCH RESISTANCE REACHED AFTER 7 DAYS
7. FINAL FINISHING
• CAREFULLY REMOVE MASKING TAPE AND PROTECTIVE SHEETING
